Fiction Poetry

Kyra Worrell remembers writing her first story in kindergarten (dictated to her mom and delivered to the teacher; and as a budding writer, she was already afraid of her potential critics and called in sick on the day the story was to be read).

More recently, her poem “Water Babies” was included in the Your Body of Water Collection for Poetry on Buses and was featured on Seattle area buses in 2017. Her story “The Last Human Being on Earth”, co-written with Theresa J. Barker, was published in Factor Four Magazine (January 2019 issue), and republished in the Two Hour Transport Anthology Vol. 2 in 2024. Her novel excerpt “Flippin’ Castles” was published in the Two Hour Transport Anthology Vol. 1 in 2019.
