William Weissinger is a poet, fiction writer, and stone sculptor who lives on San Juan Island in Washington State. His artistic expressions in poetry or sculpture often focus on the Pacific Northwest and the animals that live there. His poetry can be found in publications such as The Madrona Project’s Empty Bowl Cookbook, the 2025 Fall Menu of Malarkey Books, and the Elemental Earth Amulet Poetry Prize Anthology 2026 where two of his poems received Honorable Mention. His short stories have been published in The MacGuffin and The Ghost Story, where he won a first prize and an honorable mention, and where he is listed in its Hall of Fame.
