Raymond Brunell writes literary and speculative fiction from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. His work takes inherited-document forms — ledgers, field notes, marginalia — and keeps asking who owns the record of what happened. Stories appear in The Rebis, Horrific Scribes, After Dinner Conversation, InterrobangLit, Kelp Journal, Toasted Cheese, Necessary Fiction, Across the Margin, and elsewhere. Of “No Exceptions,” L.
