Richard Lawrence is a British writer whose work spans science fiction, fantasy, psychological horror, dark humour and speculative fiction. His stories frequently explore the darker and more peculiar aspects of human nature, often combining unsettling ideas with understated British wit. His projects include The Merlin Chronicles, a collection of interconnected historical fantasy stories; Whispers from the Edge of Everywhere, an anthology of speculative fiction; and A Most Agreeable Woman, a series of darkly comic tales featuring Daisy Wetherby, an outwardly respectable Englishwoman with a distinctly unconventional approach to life's inconveniences. Drawing inspiration from classic science fiction, folklore, mythology and the absurdities of everyday life, Richard enjoys challenging familiar conventions and exploring uncomfortable moral questions. When not writing, he runs a UK business specialising in bicycle tyre and inner-tube recycling.
