Writer finding the extraordinary in the ordinary

Fiction Poetry

Diana Cunningham Parrotta is a poet, novelist, and educator whose writing finds the extraordinary in ordinary lives, places, and memories. Raised in Brooklyn in an Irish-Italian family, she draws inspiration from family stories, travel, nature, and the small details of everyday life. Her work often moves between Brooklyn, the wider world, and the landscapes of memory. She is the author of several books, including Sounds from the Beach Vendors..., Odes to Common Plants, and Gibel Carps, Dog Parks, and Midnight Moons. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and continues to teach and write in Virginia. My Poetry was published in Blue Colloar Review, Summer 2019 "Coney Island, Beach Vendoers and Seagulls"
