Vernon Wilkes Non-Member New

Vernon Wilkes is a novelist & 30-year insurance

Fiction

Vernon has spent 30+ years in commercial insurance. He has built and led insurance ventures across multiple jurisdictions, including as Group Chair of an insurance holding company and founding CEO of a proposed U.S. captive reinsurer, and continues to work interim insurance and risk management contracts in the London/Lloyd's market. Before his career in insurance, he worked as a trade journalist, writing for the Times, the Financial Times, the Independent on Sunday, and EMAP trade publications — training that shaped his eye for how financial deception is uncovered, documented, and concealed. The Loan Tablet draws directly on this dual background: three decades of forensic, document-driven fraud investigation combined with a journalist's instinct for narrative & space. He has completed five manuscripts across historical and literary fiction. Several currently in submission or editorial review.
