Christian fiction and nonfiction on faith, grief

Fiction Nonfiction

Alfred Basta is a professor, author and musician. Raised in a Presbyterian home in Egypt, he lost his father in 1994 and spent twelve years trying to disprove God before returning to faith in 2006. That journey shapes his Christian writing, which explores grief, creation, biblical reliability and the historical claims of Christianity. His nonfiction includes Why I Decided to Believe in God, Grief: A Christian Perspective, Strong Men Can Cry and The Three Pillars. His fiction includes the novel Ward No. 8 and The Malgrave Letters, a planned seventeen-book series of contemporary Christian fiction in the epistolary tradition, with three volumes published so far. He has authored or co-authored more than fifty books and records music with The Bastas Project.
