Azadeh Eriss is a literary translator, writer, and scholar of translation. She translates contemporary Persian literature into English, with interests in literary translation, audiovisual translation, multilingual media, and cultural mediation. Her translation work includes Amir Ahmadi Arian’s novel That Mid-December Day. She is the recipient of the 2025 AFTI Student Translation Award and the Marilyn Gaddis Rose Excellence Award in Translation. Her creative and scholarly work explores how translation shapes the circulation of literature, media, cultural narratives across languages and borders.
