His debut novella, Franklin’s End, the winner of the 2026 Moon Meridian Novella Award, will be published by April Gloaming Publishing in summer 2027. He also writes flash fiction, drawn to the form’s quiet intensity and its ability to distill life into a single charged moment. He lives in Arizona with his wife, Terese, a chef and food writer, and their dog Dash. They recreate and relax on the nearby trails of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and kayak on the Salt River.

He still considers watching the moonbow over Cumberland Falls and camping at Cumberland Falls State Park among his favorite experiences.
