Poet focusing on loss, history, & literature.

Poetry

Christopher Watson (he/his/him) spent his first years in Mexico City, though his roots are in Santa Fe, NM. His mother died of accidental poisoning when he was two; and his father came out as cisgender gay when he was eight. He studied Ancient Greek philosophy and classics at graduate and post-graduate levels, before living between Barcelona and London. Christopher's poems focus on loss, family, history, the natural world, & literature. And while they may be viewed as “confessional,” they also attempt to highlight how the unruly “otherness” of language often bridles at one’s intentions. He has published in the Malpais Review, Magma Poetry, Palette Poetry, Cagibi, Atlanta Review, and Dark Mountain (among others).
