Conor O'grady Non-Member Joined 2026 Writer and visual artist exploring place & memoryFiction Poetry Visual Art Conor O’Grady is an Irish writer and visual artist whose work explores memory, place, rural identity and the traces left by marginalised histories. Born in 1987, he works across poetry, prose, moving image, photography, painting, drawing and archival research, often moving between personal experience and wider social histories.His writing is concerned with the relationship between people and the places they inhabit: what is remembered, what is suppressed, and how identity is shaped by landscape, family, community and distance. His work often draws on rural Ireland and the experience of returning to, leaving and looking back at places that have shaped him.O’Grady has worked as an artist, curator and facilitator since 2013. He holds a BA in Fine Art from DIT and an MA in Creative Practice from GMIT/ATU. His visual art has been exhibited and developed through residencies and projects in ireland, UK and Europe.
