Some people spend their lives planning to become writers. D. C. Hobson took the scenic route.

Australian by birth, curious by nature, and never particularly interested in following a straight line, a lifetime of people, places, wrong turns and unexpected encounters eventually found its way onto the page.

The result is fiction and creative nonfiction that wanders between the funny, the uncomfortable, the absurd and the occasionally heartbreaking. Stories about people who don't always know what they're doing, where they're going, or why they ended up there.

A full-time writer with a debut novel underway, filling the spaces between with short stories and creative nonfiction.
