Lyric poet with botanical roots

Poetry

Denise Gilchrist is a lyric poet whose work explores memory, desire, family, landscape, and the emotional pull of ordinary objects. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Main Street Rag, Muleskinner Journal, Eclectica Magazine, Paterson Literary Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, and other publications. Her background in botany and study of Sogetsu ikebana inform her interest in the ways line, space, image, and silence shape a poem.
