I write mysteries and fantasies for all ages.

Fiction

I live in Northern Virginia and after a lifetime of writing with pauses for an eclectic career, (teaching at a Midwest university, free-lancing as a computer statistician, modeling logistics systems for the Air Force, teaching computer technology to NATO soldiers in war zones, performing top secret analysis for the Joint Chiefs of Staff--oh, and I printer Swisher-Sweet cigar boxes right after high-school,) I shifted more of my time to writing. I wrote financial software for college textbooks (Harper & Row), a children’s story in Super Puzzletastic Mysteries (HarperCollins) a seven-book middle-grade mystery series (The Tanner-Dent Mysteries), and a couple fantasy short stories (The Wizard Realm Saga). I am the Mid-Atlantic regional treasurer for the Mystery Writers of America and an active member of the Writers Guild, Sisters in Crime, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Sometimes, I eat and sleep.
