Grace Heethuis is a wife, mother, and student at Ferris State University graduating in December 2026. She is a Michigan native who specializes in poetry and short fiction. Her poem, “Sixth Grade in Michigan,” placed third in the Muskegon Museum of Art’s 2025 Art Talks Back poetry competition. Additionally, her short story “The Things That Bind Us” was accepted for presentation at Ferris State’s first annual English, Literature, and World Languages Symposium.
