Scribe by trade; spiritual realism, my home

Fiction Poetry Nonfiction Photography

Jacqueline Bley holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She has lived in California her entire life, and her words are derived from its rich soil. A cradle Catholic, she brings a lifelong attentiveness to faith, mortality, and grace to her fiction. She has spent more than thirty years in the legal field, most recently as a Senior Legal Operations Manager, an unlikely companion career that has sharpened the same instincts for research, evidence, and narrative reconstruction that surface in CENTRAL LIGHT's private-investigator subplot. Her short fiction "Bovine Madness" won The Bohemian's Fiction Contest in 2005; her essay "My Mother, My Savior, My Sanity" won the Pacifica Tribune's Mother's Day Essay Contest in 2004; and "Esperanza" appeared in Cipactli in 1997. CENTRAL LIGHT is her debut novel.
