James (also published as Jim) Parsons grew up in the bush (rural New South Wales), spent much of his life on a wheat and sheep farm, and has made use of that background in several novels and stories. He loves to write humour and whimsical poems. Even his serious novels have wit, satire and a little cynicism. He has a degree form New England University with a double major in Englsh Literature and German Language and Literature. His History studies also found a place in his colonial family saga novel, Aunt Harriet's Legacy.
