Fiction Poetry

Jonathan Powers is a Montreal-based poet whose work fuses machine-precise language with dense, coined compounds in the tradition of Hopkins and the Metaphysicals. One of his pieces placed third in The New Quarterly’s 2026 Nick Blatchford Occasional Verse Contest. His early lyric work won the Zuzu’s Petals Poetry Prize. He teaches Arts & Humanities at Minerva University.
