Stories of exile, inheritance, and becoming

Fiction

SEVAN is a Lebanese-Armenian and South Asian writer whose fiction explores migration, cultural memory, family, belonging, and the ways history reshapes identity across generations. Born and raised in the Middle East and later arriving in the United States as a war refugee, he writes about people living between cultures, languages, loyalties, and versions of home. His work often blends realism with myth, memory, humor, and rupture, with a particular interest in inherited trauma, displacement, and the stories families tell in order to survive. He is also an award-winning playwright, bookwriter, actor, and educator whose work has been produced and developed in the United States and United Kingdom.
