Katerina Schafer has published short stories in MetaStellar, the Kleksograph, and Antimatter Dreams. She worked in veterinary medicine for ten years before disabling migraines forced a career change. Most of her writing is speculative fiction and has at least a dash of mental illness representation. She is at work on her debut novel, an epic romantasy with high stakes, dragon shapeshifters, a sociopathic villain, and a young woman who really deserves better treatment from a nicer author.
