Lisa J. Roberts lives in California with her husband in a home they call “The Empty Nest.” She has been published in Rattle, Saint Austin Review, Trivium Magazine, The Society of Classical Poets, and other journals. She believes that poetry should evince language that allows the reader to roll the words around in the mouth like wine, to swallow or spit as the case may be.
