Author of mythic fiction & modern Greek retellings

Fiction

Matt King is a hybrid author of six mythic fiction novels. These connected stories started with The Circle War trilogy and continue today with his New Mythology standalone books, which catalog the re-emergence of the Greek gods on Earth.

Mythology is high on Matt's revolving list of hyperfixations. He's taken his love of Greek myths and mixed those characters with modern stories of people learning to cope with superhuman abilities. Everything he writes takes place in the same universe because he likes to think his characters would try to get together for game nights. Matt recently spoke on some panels at Worldcon in Los Angeles to talk about some of the latest stories.

His NC roots run deep and Matt currently lives in the Triangle area with his wife, kiddos, three ridiculous dogs, and an unimpressed cat. While he's a practiced hermit, you can usually tempt him out of the house with a cozy coffee shop or tickets to an NWSL game (Go Courage!).
