J. Pōlani Monderen is an emerging writer, living a nomadic life. Originally from Hawai'i, by birth and decent, home is anywhere the wind nudges her. Currently, she resides on Moku o Keawe, Hawaiʻi. Pōlani intends to record her experience in a natural, unhindered way; leaving only footprints of ink wherever she wanders.

Her day is spent as a teacher, nurturing the next generation. The rest of her time is spent attempting to relay observations and lessons through writing. Though new to the literary journal scene, she is the author and illustrator of "The Elements: A Poetry Journal" by Wick House Publishing.
