Poetry: your other real life!

Poetry

Mark Kessinger writes poetry as a series of thought experiments—testing the limits of language, perception, and meaning. His work favors brevity, momentum beyond the line, and a kind of Zen ambiguity, often inviting the reader to become a collaborator in the poem’s discovery. Mark was born in Huntington WV, attended college at Cleveland State U., lived in Oklahoma City and now resides in Houston TX. He is a two-year recipient of a creative writing scholarship from CSU, a founding member and president of the Houston Council of Writers, and former editor of Voices from Big Thicket. Author of two volumes of poetry, His work has appeared in +150 publications and four anthologies.
