Creating art with a pinch of salt.

Visual Art

Shayna Sell is an illustrator and creator living outside Detroit, Michigan.

She creates artwork for home decor, freelance illustration, and art licensing for products. Points of inspiration include vintage travel brochures, mid-century advertising, botanical illustration, and good food. Shayna loves to make things by hand, incorporating handmade textures and line work, even when working digitally.

As an artist, Shayna believes that life is too short and messy for boring. Whether that means creating a playful pattern for gift wrap or a colorful piece of wall art, her goal is to inject fun and personality into the objects we interact with every day. Humor, authenticity, and a healthy dose of kindness are key parts of her artwork and business.

When Shayna isn't working, you can find her in the garden or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
