Shayne Buchwald-Nickoles is a Maryland-based writer completing her M.A. in Writing at Johns Hopkins University. After retiring from a 21-year career as an FBI Special Agent, she turned her attention from investigating stories to writing them. Her work includes literary crime, creative nonfiction, humor, and memoir, and has appeared in New Literary Society, The Haven, Little Old Lady, and Slackjaw. She is currently at work on Molting, a literary crime novel exploring reputation, identity, and the distance between who people are and who others believe them to be.
