Alina Suleimen is a visual artist, writer, and screenwriter whose work explores memory, history, conflict, identity, and the emotional landscapes of human experience. Her creative practice spans painting, mixed media, photography, fiction, and film writing.

Her screenplays include The Bomb, An American Fort, The Marrow, The Story of Three Swans, Sakura, and The Borderline Case. Her screenplay The Ballad of the Unbowed later developed into a literary historical novel.

She is also the author of The Strokes and Weaves of an Art. Her visual and literary work has appeared in international publications, and her art practice often examines the relationship between individual lives and wider historical experience.

She lives and works in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
