Poetry

Tara shines brightly with her evocative poetry, stemming from personal trauma, reflections on what it means to be a woman, human rights, an illness she survived, and memories of family and friends. Her poetry was published in The Branches: A Journal of Literature and Philosophy, Moxie Press, Text Power Telling, Online Zine for Survivors, SoupCan Magazine, New Jersey Bards Anthology, Crown Heights Community News, and won honorable mention in the Allan Ginsberg Poetry Contest sponsored by Paterson Literary Review and 1st Place at the 25th Annual Festival of the Arts. She runs a generative poetry writing circle. Her teaching style is nurturing and engaging, allowing learners to feel comfortable writing. Whether you are a beginner or advanced in poetry, her classes inspire and motivate writers.
