Henri Bensussen (she/her) has essays published in Lisa Locasio, ed., Golden State 2017: Best New Fiction and Nonfiction from California, Outpost 19 Press; Taylor & Chandler, eds., When a Woman Tells the Truth, 2024; The Beat Poet Spills It Out, Beatdom #26, and other anthologies. A chapbook of poems, “Earning Colors,” was published by Finishing Line Press. She has a B.A. in Biology (UCSC), and lived for 17 years on the Mendocino Coast. Her memoir, Transgressive Gardener, is based on Thoreau's philosophy, and her experiences in lesbian culture and how one overcomes harm and gains wisdom in a chaotic world.
