Interview with Timothy J Schreiber

Where do you prefer to do your creative work?

I like to work at the cafe at Wegmans (a grocery store), my local library, a cafe, or my dinning room table.

Who are your literary (or artistic) heroes?

My top five Literary or Artistic heroes are Terry Pratchett, Susanna Clarke, Genndy Tartakovsky, Stephen King, and Art Spiegelman.

If you could only take one book on a ten-year voyage, what book would you choose?

A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller Jr.

What advice would you give to a young, budding writer (or artist) with less experience than yourself?

In the words of Miss Frizzle, "Get Busy, Make Mistakes, Get Messy"

For your first draft (or sketch), do you prefer analog or digital tools, or a mix?

For the first draft I work in google docs.

Do you incorporate generative AI/LLMs into your creative process? If so, how?

So, I have use ai to explain the save the cat beat sheet and it has help me find further research and maybe moral support, but I try not to give too much of the information on the story of what I am working on. I try to work as much as possible as myself and not use Ai as a crutch.

Are you an unreliable narrator?

Maybe.
