I live in San Jose, California, and over more than forty years of travel through Latin America have visited the Templo Mayor, Palenque, Cuzco, more than twenty Maya sites, and ruins from Michoacán and Oaxaca to Guatemala, Belize and Honduras. What began as a fascination with the pre-Columbian cultures and the stories of the conquests of the Mexica, Maya and Inca became a question of how things might have gone differently, and twenty-five years ago that question became the idea for No One Will Ever Ask.
