William Wayne Patterson Non-Member Joined 2025 Octogenarian exploring memory and meaningFiction Poetry Nonfiction I was born in 1943 in a small town in rural East Texas. There were 25 students in my graduating class. My career was in international business operations and finance. In 2020 my wife of over five decades was diagnosed with dementia. I retired to spend more time with her and began to explore memory and meaning, trauma and healing, and life's transformation. I wrote my first poem at seventy-nine. I have no formal writing experience, either degree, or workshop. I have never published. I write primarily to better understand the meaning of my life.
