Zita McGarry is an Irish poet, visual artist and performer based in County Kildare. Her work explores memory, place, family, colour and the emotional textures of everyday life. She is a member of Moat Writers and has completed a Level 7 course in poetry. Her writing is informed by her parallel practice as a painter, with a strong emphasis on image, rhythm and observation. Her poetry has been featured in the anthology All the Falling Stars and the podcast "Eat the storms".
