Christina is a former clinical therapist and writer living in Evanston IL. Her MA and professional background in psychiatric settings left her enduring respect for Nature's terrible beauty, especially as it exists within people. This is frequently the inspiration for her work. She is a member of the long running Off Campus Writers Workshop just outside Chicago and serial participant in an intensive short story workshop led by the venerable Fred Shafer, former editor of the TriQuarterly Review. Her pushcart nominated fiction and creative nonfiction has appeared in Pleiades, the Bellevue Literary Review, Ocotillo Review, the Examined Life Journal, The Nomad, and numerous other publications. Her short story was among the quarterfinalists in the 2024 Driftwood Adrift short story competition. Her creative nonfiction won first place in A&U Magazine’s 2021 Christopher Hewitt Memorial Awards.
