My name's Dave Downs, I'm a 65-year old writer and retired social services worker living on the East Coast of the United States. A few of my little stories have been published here or there. My 2,500-word story, 'A Place for Pep,' is inspired by experiences from the thirty years I spend working in something called "Supportive Housing." Its' part of a larger work, tentatively entitled 'The Helping Profession: A Memoir.'
