Frank Benjamin Thompson Non-Member New English poet now living in IrelandPoetry Nonfiction Studied literature at Essex University and later took LRAM on classical guitar. After leaving university he worked as a labourer for five years and then went to London in the 70s and lived in the squats for five years during which time he became active in the movement against cruise and Pershing missiles in Europe, becoming a link person between the UK and Italian peace movements. In 1996 he won a bursary from the BBC for a radio drama in verse, but after the BBC refused to produce it he went to China and became a film and television actor for 16 years. In 2019 he published a volume of poems "White Tulip" (Smokestack Books).
