J. V. Molenaar crafts stories from the tattered pieces of the fraying mind and the darkness of the human psyche. His writing resides in the spaces our minds use to contain what we don't want to remember: the things we bury because they are too dark to share, and those who fail to contain the darkness, releasing their Pandora's box into the world. His debut novella, Until the Light Resolves, examines what happens when memory begins to break apart, and the mind can no longer contain what it tried to hide.
A former psychology student, Molenaar now teaches middle school English and is pursuing his master's of Humanities, with a focus in Creative Writing. Molenaar continues to explore the monsters the unstable mind creates. He believes the scariest stories are not the ones hiding in the dark closet or under our beds, but the ones we create from our secrets and fears that live within the walls of our souls, waiting for us to catch a glimpse of them peeking out in the mirror...
