Writing on the Middle East, diaspora, exile, and identity, she seeks to contribute to an alternative narrative for the SWANA region. In an era where Western public opinion is often shaped by mainstream media and political rhetoric—frequently resulting in stereotyped portrayals— Al Amine believes it is crucial to amplify the voices of those on the ground. By centering the marginalized perspectives of queer individuals, women, and refugees, she aims to reclaim the regional narrative and bring nuance to the global discussion.
