I'm the author of WIRE MOTHER MONKEY BABY, a novel published by San Francisco's Outpost19. My short stories have appeared in the Tampa Review, Kennesaw Review, Mad Hatter’s Review, flashquake, Euonia Review, Dillydoun Review, Vestal Review, Whiskey Tit Journal, Flash Fiction Magazine, and the anthology YOU HAVE TIME FOR THIS: CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN SHORT-SHORT STORIES. My flash story “Brain Aneurysm Kills Boy in Beauty Salon” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2025.
In the early '90s, I was a contributing editor of the Boston Book Review and the Harvard Review. I previously taught tenth-grade language arts at Gainesville High School (FL), Tom Petty’s school. In 1994 I fled the freezer of Boston for the frying pan of Austin, TX.
