Born in London, England. Lived abroad since 1986; moving to Antigua in the West Indies, then to Virginia, Florida, Oregon, Washington and now back to Oregon. Met her American husband in the Islands and was imported to the States in 1996.

Worked as a visual artist for nearly three decades. She has been writing all her life. From sending the obligatory Sunday letter from boarding school to grumbling articles, essays, memoirs, blog posts, newspaper columns, short stories, and at present she is working on a dark fantasy novel.
