Fiction Poetry Nonfiction

Shannon lives on a hill with a view of the Indian Ocean. She'd like to think that her work will touch and move, amuse, delight or disturb her readers and hearers.

Her work includes theatre for young children as well as theatre and music for adult audiences. Awards include an Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival Makhanda and ASSITEJ Young Critics Award.

Some of her fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry have found homes in literary magazines (Ake Review Volume 9; Red Fern Review; Pepper Coast Mag; Bosphorus Review; Janus Literary; @MythicPicnic; Rejection Letters; The Manifest-Station; African Writer Magazine) and print anthologies (100 Words of Solitude, Rare Swan Press; Rainbow Punch, Arkbound).

Shannon's hope is that she would leave her corner of the world in a better state than she found it. She has a fractious relationship with social media. She and her family laugh a lot.
