Trigger warning

Poetry

Shannon Malloy is a queer, neurodivergent crip poet, pissing on the patriarchy and pulling hearts out through the nose. She leaves her readers bloody and bruised, you'll have to find your own bag frozen peas to relieve the pain. She hopes to leave you as breathless as she is when her trach is capped. She loves poetry and her kids--Gertie Stein & Fanny Howl; everything else sits somewhere between annoying and despised. She's got a few poems published. Her favorite rejection was: I love this, it's just too visceral for us. She's still trying to figure out what "poetry like this" means, and really wishes people would not use the words when and whenever interchangeably, bc "whenever he died" means it was more than once. She lives somewhere in Colorado, and is currently embarrassed to be American.
