He holds a BA in poetry from Warren Wilson College, where he received the college’s Levis Prize for his poetry thesis. Stephen has been a fellow at DreamYard Project Rad(ical) Poetry Consortium and the Abode Press Virtual Retreat. He won the Porterhouse Review 2025-2026 Editor's Prize, judged by Carl Phillips.
