Bridge House Publishing

A project of CafeLit Magazine (see other related projects).

About

2 members set this publisher as a Favorite.

We’re offering to publish single author collections of short stories by authors we know. If you’ve had five or more stories in either one of the Bridge House or Best of CaféLit anthologies or on CafeLit we know you and your work and we’d be pleased to look at a whole collection. There is an underlying assumption here that we will be prepared to publish.
We are also interested in collections by unknown writers if about two thirds of your stories have been published elsewhere and you still own the rights

Voluntary Fees: This project accepts voluntary fees for "tip jar" submissions.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
