About this Publisher

Wolfson Press publishes books in the arts and humanities, including literary titles. We have a special interest in the region called Michiana, those counties of north-central Indiana and southern Michigan that are served by Indiana University South Bend. Regionally, the press has focused on the history of race relations and civil rights through the book series On Their Shoulders, edited by Emeritus Professor of History Les Lamon. More generally, we seek to publish histories, biographies, and anthologies that illuminate the cultural life of our region.

We publish literary titles with a national scope, including collections of short fiction, memoirs, essays, and novellas through the American Storytellers series; individual volumes of poetry by new and established poets; and volumes of “collected poems” by late career established poets. Our Poetry Chapbook Prize competition publishes one prize winner annually, as well as editors' choice volumes. Beginning in 2022, our Wolfson Prose Prize competition publishes one prize-winning volume annually from single-author book-length manuscripts submitted in fiction, memoir, essay, and creative non-fiction genres, as well as additional volumes.

Wolfson Press publishes book reviews on its Wolfson Review page. We focus on university press and small press titles, and we invite such presses to send us review copies in the areas of poetry, fiction, and children's literature.
