About

I founded the agency in 2012 after many years working as a commissioning editor at publishers including Piccadilly Press and Hodder Children's Books, where I was also an editorial director.
My ambition was and is to work with outstanding writers and help them build successful careers, and I am proud to say that my clients’ books have been published at home and worldwide, translated into dozens of languages, adapted for the stage, included in national book initiatives, optioned by film and TV companies and have won many major book awards.
The thrill of reading a brilliant manuscript for the first time never wears off, whether it comes from one of my existing clients or a writer new to me. I love working closely with my authors, drawing on my editorial experience to make sure their manuscripts are in great shape when I send them to editors. I find the right homes for their books, negotiating the best possible deals and offering support and advice throughout the publishing process. For international book rights and film/TV rights, I work with colleagues who are the best in the business (see Rights for more details). I also help my clients look beyond their current books and plan the most fruitful directions for their writing careers.
I am always interested in hearing from talented writers of fiction, picture books and original non fiction.
