Elijah Wolfson

An agent with Massie McQuilkin & Altman Literary Agents (see other agents at this agency).

About

Elijah Wolfson graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Rhetoric and a minor in Creative Writing. For the past two decades, he has worked in magazine and news journalism, including at Newsweek, Quartz, TIME, and the L.A. Times, and projects he has developed have won numerous awards, including from the National Association of Science Writers, the Society of Environmental Journalists, the N.Y. Press Club, Columbia University, the Goldsmith Prize, and the Emmys. Working with some of the reporters he's managed in the past, Elijah has helped develop proposals and bring to fruition a number of nonfiction books in the health and climate spaces. He is currently looking to collaborate with journalists and thought leaders examining and perhaps subverting conventional wisdom around the biggest issues of our time in climate, health, and science; historians making the past as relevant as the present; and fiction writers across all genres who combine specificity of character, place, and emotion with big-picture thinking about social dynamics, technology, and cultural trends.

Agent Impersonation Scams are becoming commonplace.
A legitimate agent will not contact you and request money to represent you. Never pay an agent an up-front fee. That is not how literary agent representation works. Agents earn a commission only after they've landed a publishing deal for you. Also, agents scarcely ever contact writers. If an agent that you haven't queried contacts you about representation, be suspicious. Look up the agent and check if the email address is correct for that agent/agency.
