Kate Foster

Kate has always been a nerdy bookworm, a kid who read through classes and late at night beneath the bed covers with a flashlight. Writing was also a passion from an early age, but one that was done secretly for the most part as she was convinced only rich "chosen ones" could become authors. As a kid who didn't finish school, it wasn't until she was a wrinkly, wise(ish) grown-up when Kate decided to embrace her love of all things writing and work toward making books her career. She gradually nurtured her own passion for mentoring new writers, and has worked successfully as a freelance editor for many years. Being able to work alongside writers and watch their skills and voices develop is a dream come true and she can't wait to continue this as an agent. Kate grew up in a small town in the south east of England to a working class family and gained much life experience through a variety of jobs. At a young age she met her husband and began raising their three sons. She now continues this role on the stunning Gold Coast in Australia where she's added two rescue dogs to her family. Kate is also a children's author represented by Alice Sutherland-Hawes at the Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency in London.
