Cobalt City: Dark Carnival Anthology

A project of Timid Pirate Publishing (see other related projects).

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive.

About

Timid Pirate Publishing issues a call for submission of stories revolving around the Carnival’s most recent stop in Cobalt City. We are especially interested in stories with characters previously featured in the Cobalt City universe, but will consider stories that use these characters in a limited capacity, putting the focus on the regular citizens of the city. We would love to see one story involving an original, low-level character (hero or villain) who falls victim to the carnival. To find out more about existing characters, visit the Visitor's Guide to Cobalt City, where a timeline and everything you should need to write about the established heroes and villains can be found, or read any of the Cobalt City fiction presented here on line, or in the anthologies and novels available from Timid Pirate. New authors are encouraged, and please ask if you have questions—the ringmaster will answer you shortly. We will accept submissions in stages (see below). To avoid overlapping characters, we will only accept the best story for any given character.
