About

A devotional book for the bathroom! Are you Serious? Absolutley. I've often said, "If you've ever felt like you just don't have the time for a devotional life, put a devo book or bible on the back of the toilet!" "That's gross and blasphemous!" I've been told. And yet, theologically speaking, Jesus's full humanity would indicate that he, indeed, is familiar with the old #2. There's several instances of even kings "relieving themselves" in scripture. In fact, Dueteronomy 23:13 gives specific potty-time instructions to Israel. I'm not being vulgar; I'm just pointing out we aren't always the most sanitary of folk. A friend once told me about reading her mother's Christian book in the bathroom... it was the turning point in her faith journey: that moment when she understood and accepted her walk with the Lord. She literally accepted Christ while seated in the porcelain pew. If you've ever been privy (pun intended) to an Uncle John's Bathroom Reader, you will have an idea of the type of work being produced. John in the John is a 1 year daily devotional featuring 365 entries; each entry is a 1 or 2 page devotional style pieces similar to Chicken Soup for the Soul.
